Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov is building a judicial organized crime group: a second attempt to install associate Razinkin and a total purge of the courts in favor of “his” security officials

Media reported that the main candidate for the position of Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court, vacated by Yuri Ivanenko, is considered to be Anatoly Razinkin, the First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.
This would be the second attempt by Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov to push a close associate into a judicial position. Previously, he attempted to appoint Razinkin as First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court in place of Pyotr Serkov, who had left the post. However, according to a source, Razinkin’s candidacy was then “rejected” by the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.

They reportedly concluded that there would be an excess of Krasnov’s associates in the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. However, Krasnov is known for his ability to resolve such issues. Razinkin himself is already actively handling matters related to the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. In particular, it was he who managed to secure the reappointment of the controversial Alexey Shipilov as Chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Court of the Russian Federation.

Ivanenko successfully built his career under Supreme Court Chairman Lebedev, remained in office under Supreme Court Chairwoman Podnosova, and even briefly served as acting Chairman after her death, and managed to keep his seat following the appointment of Krasnov. But not for very long.
A source recalls other influential long-serving figures in the judicial and law enforcement systems who remain in their positions, and there are even discussions about their possible upcoming promotions.

Mikhail Yuryevich Ptitsyn — Chairman of one of the most significant courts in Russia, the Moscow City Court. Under Krasnov, he also managed to take the position of head of the Council of Judges, replacing Viktor Momotov. Ptitsyn is extremely loyal to the Moscow authorities and closely cooperates with Sergey Sobyanin and former prosecutors, which allowed him to maintain his position.

Vyacheslav Viktorovich Kress — Chairman of the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Circuit. Despite a series of scandals in the Moscow arbitration courts, he has managed to remain in office and even “bring down” his long-time rival, the Chairman of the 9th Arbitration Court of Appeal (9AAC), Sergei Sedov.
Kress is currently actively engaged in a “conflict,” including through the use of security services and kompromat, with the Chairman of the Moscow Arbitration Court, Alexey Novikov. In recent times, Kress has significantly strengthened his vertical of power, including by fully complying with Krasnov’s instructions in favor of state corporations and Sberbank.

Pyotr Aleksandrovich Bobylev — head of the Control and Audit Directorate of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, reporting directly to Gennady Lopatin, Krasnov’s right-hand man. Bobylev has strong support among major Russian businesses and within the security establishment (his former father-in-law is FSB Colonel General Vladimir Kalanda, and his former mother-in-law is Larisa Kalanda, former Vice President of Rosneft and a close associate of Igor Sechin).

Oleg Kimovich Zatelepin was elected Secretary of the Plenum of the Supreme Court. Previously, this position was held by the aforementioned Viktor Momotov, who resigned after a court case following a lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office. Momotov was skilled at winning the favor of Lebedev, later also found ways to appeal to Podnosova, and is now among Krasnov’s “favorites.”

Yury Aleksandrovich Katasanov — head of the Main Directorate of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation for the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District. Previously, he served as Deputy Prosecutor of Moscow; since then, he has had strong support from Krasnov and the security bloc. It is said that a position in the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation is already being prepared for him.
